Meet Us
Melanie Beer
I am a dramatherapist with over 15 years of experience working with individuals and groups in community organisations, charities, private practice, and the NHS in the UK. My work has focused on adult mental health, including supporting people with complex needs and learning disabilities.
I offer therapy to individuals and groups, creating a safe, creative space for exploration and healing. I also provide supervision to therapists, counsellors, healthcare professionals, educators, and community workers.
My approach is relational and embodied, drawing on creative methods and body-based awareness to support expression, reflection, and self-discovery.
As a Playback Theatre practitioner, I am inspired by the power of spontaneous storytelling and improvisation to open new perspectives, deepen connection, and invite unexpected transformation.
Originally from Wales, I have recently settled in Athens. The move has deepened my appreciation for how we grow new roots, find belonging, and carry our stories into new landscapes. I am glad to be offering my work here, and to hold spaces where others can explore, reflect, and come home to themselves in their own way.

I am a Creative Arts Therapist, trained in Drama and Movement Therapy and EMDR, and a qualified Clinical Supervisor with over a decade of international experience. I have worked with individuals across cultures and life stages, supporting a wide range of emotional and mental health needs.
I currently offer therapy and supervision both online and in person through my private practice. I also work as an associate supervisor with EdSupport and the UK-based charity Talking Heads, and provide supervision to professionals working with refugees and asylum seekers, including at the Melissa Network in Athens. I am also a visiting lecturer at the RCSSD teaching on their supervision course.
I have a special interest in the therapeutic and creative use of myth and language—particularly the etymology of words—as a way to deepen self-understanding and connection. My approach is grounded, imaginative, and relational.
Deeply committed to the connection between nature and wellbeing, I am in the process of introducing Wellbeing and Growth Walks—therapeutic experiences in natural settings designed to support reflection, resilience, and personal growth.
